The Group 1 Turnbull Stakes is over 2000 metres and is run during the Melbourne spring racing carnival at Flemington racecourse

REDCRAZE (1955) won 32 races including the Brisbane Cup, Metropolitan Hep, Caulfield Stakes, Caulfield Cup (1956) and Cox Plate (1957).

PANDIE SUN (1958) is famous for his part in Australia’s first-ever triple dead heat recorded by a photo-finish camera, when the judge could not separate Ark Royal, Pandie Sun and Fighting Force in the Hotham Hep in 1956.
