Murray Bridge is a busy centre located 78km east of Adelaide at the crossing of the Princes Highway and the Murray River.

The river town services the surrounding agriculture and with its lovely climate is a hub for angling, houseboating and water sports of all kinds.

The feature event is the Murray Bridge Gold Cup, run over 1600m every October.

Murray Bridge Racing Club was established in 1899, and held its first race meeting at its current location on Maurice Road on July 25th 1914 .

Oval course with a circumference of 1850m with a run home of 400m.
Out of the straight a long sweeping bend takes runners to the 1400m.
The back straight is slightly curved with another long sweeping bend at the 1050m taking runners onto the home straight.
