It is understood that racing was first carried out at Kilmore in 1849.
Managed by the Kilmore Racing Club, the feature horse racing event for thoroughbreds at Kilmore is the Kilmore Cup.
Run over a testing 1600 metres, this listed race has been won by some of the best horses in thoroughbred racing.
