The Balaklava Racecourse staged its first meeting in 1904- after the formation of the Balaklava Racing Club the previous year. The highlight is Balaklava Cup day held at Balaklava Racecourse in September.
The Balaklava Racing Club has grown to be one of South Australia's most successful country clubs.
